Mark Spencer, President
Mark Spencer holds a PhD in physical chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has spent two decades in environmental research, research and development and product development. He was last Director of Technology for Agiltron, a contract R&D company north of Boston. He spent a decade at NASA Ames Research Center measuring infrared absorption of atmospheric species. His experience in securing and managing government funded R&D programs will be used to expand the technology of water quality analysis.
Ryan Flood, Chief Operating Officer
With a last name like “Flood,” it’s no surprise Ryan found his calling in water. His global experience in chlorination and ozone technologies has shaped his foundation in disinfection. Ryan has held elected positions with both the Chlorine Institute and WEF, where he now serves as the Projects Director for the Disinfection and Public Health Community. He’s published in industry journals, co-author of a book, holds a patent in electrochlorination, and brings a blend of technical depth and practical leadership to our team. Ryan spends his free time staying active with his two kids, finding adventure, chaos, and the occasional moment of calm on the water.
Sue Hunter, Chief Financial Officer
Sue Hunter comes to Water Analytics with over two decades of executive experience. Trained as a Certified Public Accountant she spent eight years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Boston, serving as Senior Audit Manager. Sue last worked for United Asset Management Corporation, one of the largest independent investment management organizations in the world with over $200 billion in assets under management, where she was a Vice President and an Officer in their Corporate Development Group. Here at Water Analytics she oversees more than just finances and manages all front office activities.
Kevin Buchanan, Chief Revenue Officer
With decades of industry experience and an impressive track record in water quality instrumentation and process automation, Kevin brings unparalleled expertise to our organization. His extensive background in both distribution and manufacturing will be invaluable as he leads our sales team and works to strengthen the partnerships that are at the heart of our mutual success. When Kevin isn’t focused on strengthening our partnerships, he enjoys boating and bass fishing, passions that reflect his appreciation for the great outdoors and the water environment we work in every day.
Brian Gannon, Director of Sales
Brian has over 11 years of real time monitoring experience across water and air industries and is an active member of WEF Young Professionals and New England Water Environmental Association. Prior to his role at Aquametrix, he brought a strong background in particulate monitoring for air quality applications.
Alex Davidouski, Director of Engineering
Alex received his BS in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic College of Minsk. He worked as an Industrial Engineer at Mzor in Belarus, a large machine tool plant. Coming to this country in 2008 he completed his Masters in engineering at the University of Massachusetts and Lowell. His unusually broad range of skills from engineering to sales fit in perfectly with the small company atmosphere of Water Analytics. Alex manages new product development, troubleshoots mechanical and electronic problems and designs new sensors.
Ryan Connolly, Production Manager
Ryan is a veteran of 4 years with Water Analytics. With his customer service expertise in Sales and his technical experience in inventory control and mechanical assemblies, he leads the manufacturing team to a successful product delivery.

Water Analytics has been guided by an all-star team of advisors since its inception in 2010. After ten years of stewardship, we decided to leverage the collective wisdom of the board to a higher degree by appointing a board chair.
Dr. Partha S Ghosh, Board Chair
Partha S Ghosh is known worldwide as an innovator of business and economic models. He advises on issues including education reform, international relationships, energy, ecology, ethics, economics, country management and public service. Dr. Ghosh has a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Engineering (MS) and Management (MBA) degrees from MIT. Following a decade as a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company he founded and directed the strategy-policy advisory firm Partha S. Ghosh & Associates. Partha advises corporate leaders in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas on a broad spectrum of strategic and policy issues in technology-based industries. Dr. Ghosh has been teaching globalization and strategic management at the Tufts Gordon Institute, Innovation & Strategic Technologies at the Fletcher School, and Leadership at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He serves on several boards of companies. Partha is one of the founding members of The Boston Pledge. He is the Recipient of several medals, recently he received the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)and Honorary D.Sc. from Adamas University for his outstanding professional accomplishments across industries worldwide.
Dr. Lawrence Kaufman, Board Member
Dr. Kaufman is a successful business leader with CEO, COO and director experience in a wide variety of technology-based firms, both public and private and both service and manufacturing businesses. He has also conducted turnarounds. Currently Dr. Kaufman is consulting to CEO’s of technology companies.
Anthony Pirri, Board Member
“Anthony (“Tony”) Pirri has had an extensive career in technology and business development. Starting as a researcher, he became a founding member of Physical Sciences, Inc. (PSI), a technology development and commercialization small business. He also founded the Division of Technology Transfer at Northeastern University and has become a consultant to non-profit organizations that promote technology transfer and licensing to develop new products.”
